If you add PDFs via the Media Plus button in the Conference App Builder, PDF viewing does not require the users to be logged in. The text inside the PDF is not included in the scientific search engine.
As a Subscription Premium or EventPilot Pro user, you have additional options to limit access to logged in users only and have the text inside the PDFs included in the search engine. Depending on the edition you purchased, you can use the speaker portal or the batch file-uploader with auto-association.
