Note that some images that load in the CAB or online planner may not load in the apps -- browsers are very forgiving, unlike native mobile operating systems.
- Ensure the internet connection on your device is functional
- Certain devices (particularly Android) struggle to load large files. Ensure to compress ALL graphics using a service like tinypng before uploading to the CAB
Images must be hosted on a secure site (https://) or some operating systems may not display them.
- Check your image file type
- App graphics must be .png files at 72dpi.
- Floor plans, speaker or attendee photos or exhibitor logos, can be either .jpg or .png.
- Sometimes, image files are merely renamed but not correctly re-saved as the intended file format. For example, if you simply rename a .doc file as "document.pdf," an actual PDF file was not created. Only saving a file by choosing the correct format from an editing tool converts it to the new file type.
To test the true file type of an image, upload it to https://fotoforensics.com/ and verify it is what it's extension says it is.
If the extension does not match the actual file type, open the file in a graphics program and select File > Save as > and choose .png to re-save the file correctly.
