What is the Session Status Widget and why should I use it? (EventPilot Pro Add-On)

What is the Session Status Widget? 

The EventPilot Session Status Widget is a dynamic live button (or just text) that displays personalized content specific to the logged-in user. It appears below the session speaker list and above the session description, ensuring visibility above the fold for most sessions. 



When would I use the Session Status widget? 

Dynamically provide access to live streaming or session recording links to logged-in users only who had registered for the event.


Limit Access to Content

You require additional registration to access the video? Or you don't want exhibitors to join live streams? The widget can be set up to limit access based on the individual's registration status.  


Inform about Ticketed Events

If some of your events require additional registrations, you can display the registration link. With further integration with your registration system, the widget could display if the user has already registered, still needs to register, or is not eligible to register and attend this session. 


Set up Special Integrations

Are you scanning attendance onsite for credit claiming? Integrations with your 3rd party systems may be possible that shows the user if they had been scanned or not.

My streaming URL has changed. Do I need to publish a data update? 

The session status widget is always live! No data publishes required. 


Do users need an internet connection?

Yes. The Session Status widget requires an internet connection to appear. It is a live widget using current data.  


Do attendees have to log in to see the session status button? 

Users have to be logged in to see the Session Status widget.

The widget is only available for EventPilot Pro packages. 


Is there a cost to using the Session Status widget? 

Yes. The widget is set up and tested custom for each event. Additional fees may apply for custom scripts to set up integrations with registration systems.
