How do I find my iOS device UDID?

UDIDs are only necessary for iOS devices. (Note: iPod Touch is not supported for proof access with UDIDs.)


If you previously installed a profile, you will need to delete that profile prior to moving forward with any of the options below. Please follow these steps to check for a profile:


1. Go to the Settings app on your device and select Downloaded Profile

2. Select Delete and remove the profile form your device.

3. Move forward with one of the options below


If you have not previously installed a profile or do not see a Downloaded Profile, please move forward with one of the options below. 




Via iTunes (Windows machines and older versions of MacOS)

If you have access to a computer with iTunes installed you can follow the steps below: 

  • Open iTunes (the Mac or PC app, not iTunes on your iPhone).
  • Plug in your iOS device 
  • Click its name under the devices list.
  • Ensure you’re on the Summary tab.
  • Click on the text that says Serial Number. It should change to say Identifier (UDID).

Depending on your version of iTunes, you may need to select the device icon to display the device summary screen.


   


   



Via Finder (Mac)

Mac running the latest OSes move this functionality into the Finder app. 

  • Open Finder
  • Plug in your iOS device
  • Click its name under Locations in the sidebar
  • Click underneath its name on the information such as its model type and amount of storage
  • The UDID number will be revealed. Copy down the information to provide in the Conference App Builder




Via Browser

Using your iOS device, access the following link: https://betafamily.com/superudid

Once you open this link in your Safari browser, follow the directions and prompts.  The site will prompt you to install a profile, and once you install the profile, the site will reveal your UDID.


Note: If you already had a previous profile installed, you will need to delete that profile prior to moving forward with any of the options below. Please follow these steps to check for a profile:


  1. Go to this link and enter your email address https://betafamily.com/superudid
  2. Open your email and click the link in the email. Select Allow for any prompts you may receive
  3. Open the Settings app > tap More for Your iPhone > tap View Profile under Profile Downloaded
  4. Select Install on the top right > enter your device passcode > press the Install button
  5. The betafamily.com website will now open automatically and reveal your UDID
  6. Enter the email address of the person collecting all UDIDs for your project and Send






Via UDID.io


Using your iOS device, access the following link: http://get.udid.io/

Once you open this link in your Safari browser, follow the directions and prompts.  The site will prompt you to install a profile, and once you install the profile, the site will reveal your UDID.


  1. Go to http://get.udid.io/ 
  2. Select Tap to find UDID on the page that loads
  3. Select Allow on the popup
  4. You will be prompted to go to Settings on your device to accept the profile.
  5. In Settings select Profile Downloaded and select Install
  6. Enter in your device passcode
  7. Select Install
  8. You will then be sent to the Udid.io website and will be given your device UDID
  9. Select Send UDID via E-Mail and enter the email address of the person collecting the UDIDs for your project and hit Send



Via Udid.tech

  1. Go to http://udid.tech 
  2. Select Get Your UDID Now on the page that loads
  3. Select Allow on the popup
  4. You will be prompted to go to Settings on your device to accept the profile.
  5. In Settings select General > Profiles > Profile Downloaded and select Install
  6. Enter in your device passcode
  7. Select Install
  8. You will then be sent to the Udid.tech website and will be given your device UDID, which you can copy and email to your Project Manager.




iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max

If the above methods did not work, please follow the instructions in this article if you have an iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.
