How do I update my user profile? How do I control what's in the attendee list?

If the event organizer included an attendee list in the event app and integrated it with the login method, then you may be able to update your entry in the attendee list by updating your profile directly with the EventPilot Platform.

Access your profile

You must be logged in to access your profile.

The ability to update your profile may not be available on all EventPilot projects.

Native Apps (iOS and Android)

  1. In the native apps, choose the More tab
  2. Select the Login Settings tab (please note that the event organizer may have relabeled the tab)
  3. Select My Profile

Online Itinerary Planner

  1. Click the profile icon on the top right hand side
  2. Select My Profile

Update your profile

Your edits do NOT appear immediately in the app or planner. Any edits you make are subject to the organizer and appear on the platform once the organizer chooses to publish a data update that include your edits.

  1. Once you have accessed your profile, click the pencil (edit) icon
  2. Depending on the organizer's set up, you may be able to edit the following:
    1. Your profile photo
This image appears in the chat, and the attendee list (pending organizer setup)
    2. Professional title, organization, bio, professional interests (if set up), personal interests, country - if the attendee list is set up, your edits display in the app
  3. Click Save when you are done editing.
Changes you make won't instantly reflect in the conference app.
  4. Wait for a data update to see your changes in the conference app. Your updates may require the event organizer's approval and will be incorporated according to the data update schedule. Do not contact the organizer after making your edits but wait until you receive a data update. You can continue making changes to your profile throughout the event yourself.

FAQ

When will my edits appear in the conference app?

Changes you make won't instantly reflect in the conference app. Your updates may require the event organizer's approval and will be incorporated according to the data update schedule. Some event organizers publish data updates once a week before the conference and then once a day or more times during the event.

After you save your changes, wait for the next data update for them to reflect in the app.

I do not want my profile to be displayed in the conference app. How do I turn that off?

The ability to control your profile in the attendee list depends on the organizers' setup:

Auto-generated Attendee List

If your event organizer used this option, you can access your profile and toggle the setting

  1. Find your own entry in the attendee list
  2. Select the My Profile button
  3. Select the Edit button
  4. Toggle Show in Attendee List to either ON to be included or to OFF to be hidden

Note: Your profile changes will take effect after the organizer reviews and publishes changes. Do not contact the organizer about your attendee list entry.

Attendee List Data Imported by the Organizer

If the attendee list is imported from the registration system, double check your registration page what options are available to you to be displayed or hidden in the attendee list. Most imports are set up via direct connection to the registration system and controlled from there.
