Are the BadgeScanner / Scanned Contacts in EventPilot backed up on the server?

Both, the BadgeScanner app and the EventPilot Conference app allow you to scan contacts onsite (if the organizer set up the QR code meeting the scanner requirements). The scan typically includes the full name and can also include additional information such as organization, email address, title, and more.


No backup, if user is not logged in

If you are not logged in to the app, any scanned contacts only remain locally on the device. If you delete the app, your contact list will also be deleted. 

Ensure to first export all your contacts via the CSV file (generated locally on your device - the data is not sent to a server). 


Backup, if user is logged in

If you are logged in, all your scanned contacts are synchronized to the ATIV servers when you have internet access while the app is open. If you delete the app, your contact list remains on the server. 

If you delete your account but not the app, your contact list is deleted on the server but not locally on your device. 

If you delete the app and also delete your account, your contact list is deleted without recovery.
